Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile are first-time authors, have 5 kids between them and have been friends for 12+ years. Both women were upset to discover that real-life motherhood was nothing like their romantic vision of the experience. So they decided to interview hundreds of moms to see if anyone else felt the same way.
From these interviews, the book I Was A Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids was born. Trisha and Amy discovered that working moms, stay-at-home moms, part-time moms and every other kind of mom had similar feelings.
Being first-class mothers and first-time authors is not the only thing on their resume. Trisha Ashworth (left) has produced advertising for American Express, PepsiCo and Levi Strauss & Co. She lives in Northern California with her husband and three children.
Amy Nobile (right) has led public relations programs for Visa, Frito-Lay and Webvan. She lives in Northern California with her husband and two children.
